FAQS

What material is the T6 front splitter made of?

The T6 splitter is made in RTM Composite. Specializes in this type of manufacturing technique. It is a blend of polyester resins and strands of fiber that is put through heated high-compression molds. The result is a highly rigid and durable body panel–Optimal for aerodynamic performance and ground effect kits.

How well will this fit on my SS? Do I need to modify the product or my car to get this to fit?

All our products are designed using only GM OEM data. This means that the splitter was digitally designed based on specifications of the 2016+ Camaro SS. This type of fit would not be achievable by hand-modelling. Additionally, you will not have to modify the product or your car to get this to fit. The only thing needed is to drill the required holes on the underside of the fascia.

Do I need to drill holes into the car? Can I use two-way tape instead?

Yes. Holes will need to be drilled into the bottom of your front fascia (holes are pre-drilled on the splitter to make the procedure easy for you). The use of two-way tape is not recommended, and we advise you to not use it as the down-force generated from driving will likely rip the splitter off from the tape.

What is the difference between Primer, Mosaic Black, & Gloss Black?

Primer is an unpainted surface and is an undercoating that is meant to be final sanded prior to paint. There are no UV stabilizers in the primer. Therefore, if installed as is, then overtime the sun will cause the primer to fade and deteriorate. Mosaic Black is a blend of a high shine black with a silver metallic flake in the paint. It is great if you are trying to make your ground effects pop. Gloss black is simply your typical high shine black paint.

What is the difference between the No Endcaps, Stage 2, and Stage 3?

The splitter stays the same through those 3 options. What changes are the side pieces on the splitter. The stage 2 deflectors are a small addition to the end that look like little triangles while the stage 3 are larger endcaps that extend further upwards. No endcaps simply means no deflector on the ends. The purpose of deflectors are to direct the airflow to the front brakes for added cooling and reduce the amount of debris buildup on the brakes.

What type of hardware secures this product in place?

Nearly all products install via rivets. When a rivet is secured in place it creates a mushroom effect through the hole–Similar to placing an umbrella through an equally-sized hole and opening the umbrella. This is great for securing panels in place. You can find a handheld rivet gun here.

Will this product fit on my 2016+ V6 Camaro?

No. You will need the T7 version, which is the same style as this splitter, but made to fit the V6 fascia. It can be found here.

DESCRIPTION

The T6 SS Splitter for the 2016 Camaro SS

This splitter is ready to be adorned by all Camaro enthusiasts–it is made from our patented composite material that fuses quality and durability while providing functional support for all Camaro drivers.
Benefits:
At higher speeds the T6 Splitter efficiently directs air around the front end while creating downforce for enhanced control. Additionally, we designed a raised central portion of the splitter to help avoid hitting steep driveways. In doing so, the airflow of the horizontally mounted transmission cooler is greater for added cooling.
Features:
  • Enhanced aerodynamic performance.
  • Manufactured in RTM composite technology.
  • Installs within 15 minutes. Uses the OEM mounting bolts.
  • Fits all 2016 and up Camaro SS front fascias.

Optional Winglets / Deflectors:

Add our optional deflector series for greater aerodynamic performance. The concept of wind deflectors came from commercial jetliners, which facilitated the airflow off the end of the wing causing drag. This enabled jets to efficiently move through air. The same principal applies with our deflectors.

Two variants are available: Stage 2 which is our conservative option and our Stage 3 deflector which is more aggressive, and provides the greatest amount of aerodynamic function.
